Today we woke early and took the train to Byrno, about 2 hour ride. It was such a beautiful day; the sun was shining and we got to see a great view of the countryside. In Byrno we are leading worship for a church that is the only Pentecostal church in the entire city. In a city of half a million, there are perhaps only 400 people who will attend an evangelical church on a sunday morning. Amazing. To be a christian is such a rare thing.
Jason and Andrea, the missionaries here, have told us about college students who have been disowned by their families because of their decision to follow christ. People will yell at them on the street and call them fanatics and crazy. People that know them will yell, “Don’t listen to them! They are crazy christians!”
So tonight, we played for this church and just worshipped and ministered to them. We again sang “Christ and Christ Alone” in czech. It seems very anthem-like and easy for them to sing. We felt very blessed by this church and look forward to seeing what God does through them in the future.
Tomorrow we are up early again to travel, so goodnight.
